Policy Versions

Within Simfuni a client may have multiple versions of a single policy that have been generated over the course of the policy lifecycle.

For example, a policy may have:

  • A current in force policy version.
  • A scheduled new policy version, if there is a policy renewal coming up.
  • Superseded versions, i.e. old policy versions that are replaced after a renewal takes effect or if an endorsement is made.
  • Draft or voided versions, if the client was sent quotes for new coverage but decided not to.

Policy Quotes vs Policy Versions

If a client has been quoted multiple new business policies, each with a different policy number, then these display as separate quotes under the Policy tab of the client record.

If a client has been quoted multiple variations on a single policy, or has past renewal versions for the same policy (i.e. they share the same policy number) then this is displayed as just one policy under the Policy tab of the client record, but multiple versions under the Versions tab of the policy.
