New features and enhancements

Life Claims list and Task queue improvements

• The All Claims list is now called Life Claims. It has an Adviser column (previously Intermediary) and a new Adviser filter.

• In the Task queue, you can now filter by claim or event type and search by claim number.

• Insurers with fire and general (F&G) products also get a separate F&G Claims list.

Claim lodgement improvements

• When lodging or editing a claim, you can now pick the claim contact from a list of everyone on the policy, such as the policy owner or a beneficiary.

• A new optional Claim reason detail field lets you add more detail to the claim reason, up to 50 characters. It shows on the claim page and in data extracts.

• Claims are now created from the policy page only rather than the client page.

Claim summary documents
You can now create a claim summary document from the Actions menu on a claim. This is available on request and requires document configuration.

Policy reference on claim payment files
Claim payments in bank files can now show the policy’s external reference, such as the insurer’s policy number, in the Particulars field. This helps payees match each payment to its policy. Contact Simfuni to discuss setting this up.

Clearer policy import errors
Policy import reports now say why a row failed. If a row breaks an eligibility rule, such as the maximum entry age, the Download CSV report shows which cover failed and why. Learn more about batch policy imports.

Simplified navigation
The old Home page has been removed, so the portal now opens directly on the Clients page.

F&G levies
F&G product levies can now be based on details of the insured item.

Bug fixes

Refunds after free-look cancellations
Fixed an issue where refunds were blocked after a free-look cancellation if the policy had dishonoured instalments in that period.

Bank transfers missing from Match Payments
Fixed an issue where some bank transfer payments didn’t appear in Match Payments. Learn more about matching direct credit payments.

Card fees on one-off payments
Fixed an issue where one-off payments with a new credit card didn’t show the card fee. This happened on policies that pay by direct debit.

Commission clawbacks and payout statuses
Fixed an issue where future-dated cancellations didn’t create a commission clawback until the cancellation took effect. The clawback is now created straight away. Commission payouts also now show Processing when their batch is approved, and Paid once it’s paid.

Date checks for users outside New Zealand
Fixed an issue where date fields could reject today’s date for users outside New Zealand’s timezone. Dates are now always checked in New Zealand time.

Error screens on policies without an adviser
Fixed an issue where policies without an adviser could occasionally show an error screen during new business, endorsements or adjustments.

Add life insured button wording
Fixed an issue where the Add life insured button showed as Add item when editing a Life quote or endorsement.
